Give Peace a chance

Sun Mar 16, 2008, 6:17 PM
One of the many benefits of being my age is that I've seen so many changes in the world. Overall, socially, I think the world is mostly a better place. If only my parent's generation had listened to us in the 70's and started recycling and reducing their dependence on oil the world wouldn't be in such a state. But you know, my generation, and your generation is equally as guilty of excessive consumerism, obesity, social intolerance, greed.
I see violence exacerbated more in the young women of today, with their self-empowerment being equal to that of an adolescent male, swearing, using violence to solve problems, practicing sexual promiscuity. It is not empowerment to use violence and sex, it is weakness. I have been of late following more of the Dali Lama, whose wisdom can be heeded, but does not cure the evil of the world. Thank goodness people are finally noticing how threatened China is by Tibet and the Dali Lama! If you get a chance, rent the video "10 questions for the Dali Lama". It is insightful, but does not hold all answers for everyone. Only you can answer to yourself.
So my good children everywhere, try to be calm, find the eye in your storm, and think before you act or open your mouth or raise your fist. Practice forgiveness and respect for all living things. Enlightenment is sure to come to you!
Spring is coming soon! Plant a garden or a tree!

Bandless

Yeah, so I quit the band. Creative differences. I couldn't take the stagnation any more. The thespian in me longed for consistency.
Looking for new work, any takers?

New videos

Mon Jan 7, 2008, 11:33 AM
Hey, I finally figured out how to get the camera to talk to the computer and I've uploaded two new videos I shot last summer at the LL Bean Concert series. Check them out at my myspace page [link]
I think they turned out ok, considering how freakin' crowded it was there!
As for New Year's resolutions, #1 on my list is getting my finances better organized so I can stop getting overdraft fees.
#2 Lose 15 pounds minimum. I only lost 5 last year!
#3 Do more painting of the house and barn. It really needs it!
Other than that, I don't have time for many more!
Friends are always free to drop in!
Much amore!
