Urge for Going by ~Maliceah:iconMaliceah:

Wish I could stop this urge
to go a wandering with you
Warmer weather's coming
and music will soon
waft across the meadow
barefoot dancers mingled with smoke
sunshine colored clothes
arms flung wide in joy
rhythm hips and legs in motion
Smiles and open hearts
Strangers become family
under a rainbow sky
Children of the lost
find each other again
in stories, in food, in song
Campfires light your skin
I know you're right behind me
in your own interpretation
moving with spiritual intent
I feel you there
and relax in the knowing
I am not alone in the
pool of human tears.
Be there all the years
Many more to come
Come with me,
I have the urge for going
But I never seem to go.

This is not only a beautiful poem but meaningful in more ways than one. It's a glorious insight and wonderful contemplation piece. Hmm...

Wow! Made me think of the days of hippies and freedom and peace. Love it!

The universe runs in cycles, meaning that focusing on the horizon means nothing because in the end all you're really doing is looking up your own ass, so just enjoy the walk.

We can still have those days, it's our minds that keep us prisoner. :peace: :airborne: :community:

 Awww, shucks. I'm just recalling my days at Strangefolk Jam shows. Gotta love the Jam band crowd. I just wish there wasn't so much consumerism now. People are just not responsible anymore with their recyclables or their trash, and it seems to be more about :weed: than music and joy and freedom. I can see why Phish disbanded. :tears:

You are very right! I completely agree with you. In the area I live in there is only one trash service. Just regular trash service rather than both trash and recyclables. Sigh. I am glad you have happy memories though. Our society seems to have forgotten the joy of being a people. :) Glad you can express it too. :)

I wish I could know a life that free.
